This brazen interpretation known by most for its Iggy Pop original featured in the movie “Trainspotting” is re-envisioned by dance producers Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel under their parallel alias Funky Magnetic.

It’s a sterling cut of disco funk blessedness which is thankfully the order of the day. It’s a highly polished NYC type of mid-tempo groove with great funk guitar to prick up anyone's ears. Grace Jones would absolutely love these guys as they are tailored-made for her brand of sassy dance music.

Highly musical and intelligent these guys know what they are doing and they do it with consummate style. Here’s a little background about “Nightclubbing”. It’s the third single collaboration from Funky Magnetic and Del Blake. Imagines Recordings, helmed by Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel aka Funky Magnetic and Los Charly's Orchestra.

They have a raft of key supporters like Lakuti, Gilles Peterson, Louie Vega, Pete Tong and Dave Lee who all lovingly champion their music. With over 130 releases on their Imagenes label over the last decade, Juan & Jorge’s impressive musical catalogue continues with "Nightclubbing" - a real touch of class. The remix versions are top notch too. Studio 54 is alive again living in these guys' souls!
