Jason Derulo: In My Head

It’s a fine line between ‘new R&B Sensation’ and ‘one hit wonder’ and Jason Derulo is currently walking that route. Swamped in the obligatory autotune, radio friendly production and co-written by generic R&B song writer J.R.Rotem, it sounds not unlike all the other tracks Rotem’s penned for other artists.

With nothing to distinguish ‘In My Head’ from the pack, it’s going to take a lot more than this song for Derulo to carve out a long term career in R&B. Hopefully his forthcoming debut album will contain something more meaty and substantial than this calorie-free nibble of a song.
