Australia’s premier deep funk outfit deliver the goods again on this hotly anticipated third album.

Peppered with guest vocalists and rapper Ty sees the band return in tip top form bridging the gap between Funk, Northern Soul and 60’s mod music! It’s no wonder these boys are faves of Mr Scruff, Keb Darge, DJ Food, Snowboy and Dom Servini. There’s something brewing up down under!

'Can’t help myself' the stand out track, featuring the ubiquitous Ty, mixes a top notch hook coupled with the band’s signature bedrock stabs and slabs of juicy funk! Recorded at the legendary shed studios – home of the heavy! This crisp production shows off this funk fuelled frenzy to the core!

Three tracks from vocalist Kylie Auldist really seals it for me - you can’t beat great tunes with velvet vocal deliveries and this girl really gives it! Check out their rendition of 'King of the Rodeo' by Kings of Leon! Cutesy stuff courtesy of guest vocalist Megan Washington, bolstering their song approached quota considerably.

'Side-Stepper' offers another high octane performance from this head-nodding, bass-heavy, rolling funk, fraternity. Live they blow the roof off. Can’t wait for their UK shows later in the year! Tru Thoughts have done us proud again!

It’s quite an achievement for a night to last five years in the volatile and competitive world of Central London clubbing. It’s even more impressive when it doesn’t sell out musically in order to achieve such a status.
