The super-hot ‘New Mastersounds’ are back with a killer new 45...
This time it features the vocals of Dionne Charles of the Brighton-based Funk outfit ‘Baby Charles’ and it certainly something of a treat.
Except for her own ‘Back Of My Hand’ 45 – which was one of my favourites of the past few years - I’ve never heard her sing better.
The NM’s have gone for a different New Orleans-style funk this time and the change is good, but flip it over for ‘All We Can Do’ and we’re back on familiar territory again. All-in-all, a great 45. No problems.
