UK release date 24.06.2008

It’s so hard to find Japanese Jazz imports here in the UK. I don’t know why someone hasn’t had the sense to import them in big numbers because there are a lot of amazing world-class cd’s that we are definitely missing.

Luckily for me (and you) this didn’t slip through the net. Here is the second album by a fantastic trombone-led outfit called ‘Jaz’presso’. This classic sounding cd is full of exceptional compositions and outstanding musicianship, and, although there are a lot of danceable jazz tracks on here, it is a very varied album covering many different moods.

It is hard to highlight any particular track because they are all so strong but, as a Jazz Dance DJ, I must go with the title track ‘Eerie Dance’ – which will surely give a challenge to the most accomplished and fleet-footed of jazz dancers.
