This is the debut album from the young U.K-based Italian organist. He is gaining a live reputation very quickly, and rightly so; his playing is exceptional.

Backed by great solid bass and drums he tastfully burns through standards such as ‘Billies Bounce’ and ‘Mambo Inn’ and he almost made it into the Funk reviews too for his great version of Jack McDuffs ‘Duffin’ Around’

Breaks-collectors beware, there is an excellent drum break there for you. It runs very short at 35 minutes, but then that was the length of those albums on Prestige and Blue Note in the 60’s, so who am I to argue?
