ELIZABETH TROY: “Higher Ground”

Produced by Martin Ikin, and featuring the silky vocals of Elizabeth Troy, this new release sees the return of the ever impressive Soul Purpose label after a brief hiatus.

The Classic Mix is without doubt the pick of the bunch as it features a mesmeric bassline, solid keys and Chic-esque guitar licks that do more than doff their cap a little to Messrs Rodgers & Edwards. The other mixes on the package take the track into more tech territory, and with the production first rate through this is definitely a welcome return.
