Now here’s something really special from Scottish soulful talent, Joseph Malik, as he delivers another impeccable body of work on his fifth artist album, "Proxima Ebony".

Prepare to embark on a genre-crossing trip through soul, R&B, afro-boogie, old skool hip-hop and disco spectrums. Edinburgh’s finest weaves a musical tapestry of soul-stirring stories with rousing wordplay, bound together with sublime vocal performances that seamlessly flow between rap, spoken word and spine-tingling soul.

Created by Joseph and Daniel Walls, "Proxima Ebony" was produced by and arranged by Darren Morris and Jo Wallace of North Street West fame.

There’s also a plethora of talent accompanying Joseph on the album including Philadelphia spoken word artist, Kameelah Waheed; Shuya Okino of Kyoto Jazz Massive fame; jazz harpist, Alina Bzhezhinska; San Francisco rapper, Capitol A; and Edinburgh hip-hop legend, DJ Nasty P.

Highlights include the so damn funky, "Adjust Like Dat", "Be A Lion" with Kameelah Waheed, and Joseph’s incredibly haunting falsetto performance on "Adult Contemporary" is a must-have experience. What a great album!
