Bosnian Beauty, Lakiko drops her debut album which is sung mainly in her native tongue.

It’s an intriguing body of work and extremely conceptual as she has teamed up with the neurology department in Biel having connected herself to EEG machine which recorded her brain activity enabling her to use brainwaves as a score ! Eno eat your heart out ! Her primary instrument is her trusty cello which gets severely mashed in loops and wacky electronica.

It’s cinematic in scope enriched with seductive and stripped back beauty that gives this artist high stakes in being rather unique. Here in the U.K. we have fellow cello artiste, Ayanna Witter-Johnson but there aren’t really a lot of similarities. As Lakiko is far more multi dimensional using film as well as her music. There’s something earthy and life affirming about a growly cello and its permutations which are stretched to the limit crowned with her gorgeous vocal - it’s a private world she invites you into. Take a peek into her magical universe and be prepared to be engulfed by an artist who is totally true to herself.
