Sometimes it’s just refreshing to hear a song how it was initially created a strum of the guitar, a twinkle of the piano is all that is needed in many circumstances.

Here French-Caribbean soul artist Sebah does exactly that - he just lets this stripped-down version devoid of a rhythm section and horns (which you kind of hear in your head ) do the work for him. He has a strong emotive voice that gets the song across and it’s wide-ranging with some stinging falsetto in the bridge.

Gospel soul is the order of the day and it’s firmly rooted in that Curtis "People Get Ready Era". This guy is drinking from the same musical well and shows a lot of promise. A cool unadorned gem of a song that’s going to creep up on you.
