Largely known for his contributions to the soulful house and disco scene since the early 90’s, Austrian producer Mannix launches his brand new record label, Dafia Records, with an emphasis on working with real musicians and exceptional vocalists – well that’s welcome news! Kicking things off in style, Mannix enlists the help of Lee Wilson (a US vocalist who has been much in demand since he exploded on to the house scene last year) on "Do It Right Now".
A shimmering groovy Disco house affair full live instruments, "Do It Right Now" is ripe with classy brass stabs, warm keys and funky guitars that fit Lee Wilson’s soulful voice like a glove.
Hot favourited German Disco talent, Phonk D. delivers a funky bass driven remix delivering a cool, contemporary filtered Nu Disco vibe. Very nice, looking forward to hearing more from Dafia soon!
