Nick Pride & The Pimptones from Newcastle/UK are back with “Don’t Turn Me Loose”, a bristling retro-soul romp, which is also the first single from their impending new album “Ideology”, coming out on Légère Recordings on September 11.

The song captures classic soul vibes while driving home heavy beats, anthemic horn arrangements, brimming Hammond and a full-throttle gang vocal chorus. The lusty holler of "Don't Turn Me Loose" a broadside quickly answered by the Pimptone horns, bodes well for their forthcoming new album.

Vocalist Eliza Lawson has a slinky androgynous quality about her - quite distinctive. The whole thing is emboldened by a warm organ bed and the punchiest of drums. Frankly, it's a winner!
