Anita Carmichael : Take your time

Great to see Ms Carmichael back on the comeback trail with this gorgeous slice of smooth jazz /neo soul ballad.Throughout the 90's she was a tour de force on the jazz scene in the UK and in Europe in many ways she was our answer to Candy Dulfer but with soft and silky vocals too, often reminiscent of Ricky Lee Jones's smokey flavour.

Her grounding in jazz serves her well and it is obvious that Anita has a good time exploring other musical stylings. This is a strong effort with a great vocal delivery and a sublime outro peppered with imperious sax improv.Welcome back Ms Carmichael,the doyenne returns!
