'Free My Skin' is the vibrant new single from the fine purveyors of energetic, futuristic afro funk improv, Steam Down.

It really highlights their live signature sound which I've had the pleasure of seeing at this year's Glastonbury (in a jazz treehouse club on stilts!) And at Love Supreme. It's a classic case and a fine example of a band taking their time and effort in developing their sound to perfection and showing their skill sets in a different light.

Its distinctive rhythmic arrangement keeps the track rolling forward with a hefty portion of Afrika 70 horn like blessedness mixed with spoken word giving the track momentum.A tasty morsel and an antidote to the stresses and strains of modern life to whet the appetite for a long player in the new year no doubt.
