King Rooster pop up with an absolute belter of a 45.The excitement this band generate is off the hook!Keyboardist Sam Montero in particular, nearly steals the show with a combination of impassioned organ and moog noodlings propelled by a stonking rhytym section of Mark Claydon, drums and Ian Stevens on bass. The pocket is deep on this one and guest vocalist Kim Dawson is one helluva singer and gets let off the lead (from the more manicured Matador Sounds) just marvel at her chanelling Betty Davis,it will take your breath away ! Without a doubt this is one hefty slice of funk heaven.King Rooster are at the top of their game -they are a real touch of class.A potent and vastly enticing groove laced with killer hooks, this will have longevity in any DJ's bag.Grab yourself a 45 quick as this will sell out fast, british deep funk coming out of Detroit- it doesn't get better than this........
