Singer Songwriter Bonnie Bailey shot to fame in the early 2000’s as the voice of Hed Kandi. Her distinctive voice and songwriting skills married with US legend Eric Kupper's impeccable production saw her grace most beach and chill out compilations around the globe with hits such as "Kingdom Of Prett", "Safe", "Firefly" and 'Ever After", to name a few.
Despite all this, her own album never actually materialised. To the delight of Bonnie fans, "Song Book Volume 1" is a comprehensive collection of her work, which finally gets to see the light of day as full album, thanks to former Hed Kandi boss Mark Doyle who has lovingly put together a catalogue of 36 songs for release on Fierce Angel.
There are plenty of Bonnie's classic anthems, including her incredible cover of Kate Bush's "This Woman’s Work" and a plethora of Eric’s stunning remixes to savour. In addition, there are loads of previously unreleased gems to check out which span from lush laidback grooves, Pop and dance floor cuts, testament to just how versatile Bonnie is as a recording artist. Without a doubt an absolute must have album for your beach-bum playlist this summer!
