MF Robots,a relatively new soul band on the scene formed by Ex Brand New Heavies' Jan Kincaid and Dawn Joseph, strike out with another cracking single bristling with soul savvy and energy. To be honest I was expecting a sub Heavies, polite disco house, feel good groove but this is a quirky, jerky little slice of pure blessedness with a drumbeat to die for and i'ts just the ticket for yer winter blues! Jan 'rides' it beautifully on the kit from the off bolstered by a snappy bassline, taut wah wah guitar and some glorious 60's style organ, an unashamed retro vibe but with a thoroughly modern sounding production.

Dawn's vocals as slinky as ever, are the perfect vehicle for this funky, poppy banger and Kincaid's soulful bv's sit really well in the mix.It was Jam & Lewis who said no matter where you drop the needle there should always be something interesting going on hooks wise and this little gem certainly fits the hallowed producers' remit.

This is promising stuff, really well crafted and exciting peppered with stonking sax and trumpet solos, believe me they are definitely showing the love on this one.MF Robots have done their research, focussed on the development and analysis of musical algorithms without tapping into their artificial intelligence once and have learnt to perform intelligent behaviour with maximum human intervention! Their live shows have been known to blow a fuse or two as well, check this out I implore you......
