Bassist Miles Mosley breaks out of his gig with Kamasi Washington and definately cuts the mustard on his debut for the mighty Verve records. We see a tight funk explosion with no loose ends doused with sophisticated combinations and layering and the fattest horns you're ever likely to hear underpinned with sweet hammond, hard hitting drums, stirring strings, slinky guitar and his growly bass and face melting wah wah solos.

A refreshing fusion of genres full of vim and vigour, this is seat of the pants stuff! The excitement flies off the deck and hits you square in the face. There's plenty of hooks too and it's song based too, it's not a self indulgent effort it's all embracing!

As the man says 'mediocrity is everywhere but not here' and the production is heavy! Delivering a nice full sound.I for one am looking forward to his debut at this year's Love Supreme Festival.I can't wait.Meanwhile check this young lion out he's gonna blow your mind and this my album of the year thus far!
