Big dreamy, sonic landscapes with an 80's feel chiming and ringing guitars with yearning breathy vocals prevail throughout.

JOHNNYSWIMS, an enterprising husband and wife duo, may have taken the States by storm with “Georgica Pond” but their marrying of blues, pop, country, gospel and soul will leave us Brits a tad confused, especially when you realise co-singer Amanda Sudano Ramirez is the daughter of Donna Summer! Along with her husband they produce pleasing sounds and their voices resonate sweetly with one another but overall it's a bombastic offering drenched in over production.

There's no doubt about their talent and skills with these hook-laden vignettes, especially "Hummingbird", but it's all so overblown that I can't see it making too big an impression here in the UK.
