Funkshone: Ain’t Never Gonna Work/Aberlady Fry (Skyline Recordings)

Funkshone are back with two little gems that verify that the funk is very much back and fuelled once more with these two slices of groove heaven. Underpinned by beatmeister Mike Bandoni's excellent fatback beats.

'It Ain't Never Gonna Work' is a souped up soulful strut that will kickstart any funk deejay's set. freaturing their new sassy lead singer, the irrepressible Miss Jaelee Small leaving her urgent signature and statement of this short and sweet delight,with crisp horns and attitude. 'Aberlady Fry' continues the party with the same intention,check the bassline and the Grover type sax solo - sublime. Nice to see some new product from the guys and a perfect taster for the forthcoming new album.Atop draw delivery!
