Funky DL became a master of sampling cosy easy listening music from the likes of Nat ‘King’ Cole.

Nas now gets in on the act, basing this around Nat’s anthemic “Unforgettable”, with the hook line vocalled by new name Chrisette Michele. Lyrically, it follows the overall theme of the “Hip Hop Is Dead” album, further cementing Nas’ dedication to the true essence of the genre, and disillusionment with its negative elements. It’s no “Life’s A Bitch” or “The World Is Yours”, but it should trot along nicely for a few weeks and pick up a bit of radio play in the process.
