I notice that Posner's initial idea behind this album was to “make something that didn't sound like anything that was already out.” I don’t know whether or not anyone has subsequently pointed out to him that he’s achieved the total opposite of this, scoring a big fat zero for originality.

If Posner was food he’d be chicken. Regardless of the tempo or overall feel of the track he’s still a fairly bland piece of chicken in the centre of it. Maybe I got this all wrong though and the title of the album is a subtle indication of the future of his career.

Maybe this all a foot-in-the-door plan, the 31 minutes before he unleashes something approaching good and not resembling poultry in anyway. However the album itself is 37 minutes long so I guess not. Incidentally and slightly more interesting than the album itself, its quite amusing that when you type “Mike Posner” into Google, the auto complete suggestion “is a douche”. Try it.
