It seems Trey has got all the party bangers out of his system, "Passion, Pain & Pleasure" is overloaded with slow jamz and slick R&B smoothness.

There’s rarely anything to be deduced in a title and Passion seems to blur with the Pain and the Pleasure until all you are presented with is twenty plodding songs each trying their hardest to get the girls on the dance floor or into the bedroom.

Due respect for the massive number of musicians involved in the project though, this would have been much less enjoyable with lifeless programmed tracks. Four albums in and Songz seems to be planning out his albums as more than just a bunch of songs he recorded.
