Maxsta: East London Is Back (Defenders ENT)

East London is back? Yeah, because the area was right up there alongside the South Bronx and Compton in the annals of Hip-Hop. Over a blipping lazy beat, Maxsta spits a bunch of verses about, well, nothing much.

Maybe if he spent less time telling us about how amazing he is then he might be nearer to making some kind of point. Verbally dexterous enough to be brilliant, I’m still waiting for some true greatness come from Maxsta. The final minute of the track plays on and on like he ran out of the lyrics he claimed to have no shortage of earlier on in the track. Hmmmn.
