They say that truly great songs sound truly great in the first thirty or forty seconds. I spent the first minute and thirty seconds of Straight to the World wondering if someone had forgotten to turn off a very bland drum loop and waiting for something to happen, anything to happen.

When it did happen there was little to shout about. Then I heard the Peo De Pitte remix. This takes a flat-lining track and with a musical defibrillator, delivers a healthy amount of life into it. So, in Short the original version of the song is dead and gets reborn in the remix. To say that the Beat Assassins can kill a song has so many meanings don’t you think?
