No matter what you think about Mr. Kelly, you can’t deny he has a knack of consistently coming up with catchy contemporary ditties.

This new offering, taken from his soon-to-be-with-us album ‘Double Up’, maintains that record. It sees our man in poppy R&B ‘Ignition’ mode, as opposed to the modern soul sound he perfected with stuff like ‘Step In The Name Of Love’. Indeed the biggest criticism you can make here is in the song’s resemblance to the aforementioned ‘Ignition’.

To offer some variety, Kelly drafts in T.I and T-Pain to rhyme around the egocentric lyrics. Their verses are mildly amusing and I can’t work out if they rhyme Teddy Pendergrass with a body part or
something else.

Out as a download only on 30th April - with the physical release dropping May 21.
