One of our noted jazz fusion guitarists, John’s career spans forty years, while this CD was first released during 1971. Now considered somewhat of a modern classic, it features A-listers like Billy Cobham, Jerry Goodman and Dave Liebman.
Upon its first release, Robert Palmer called the work – “a quietly beautiful album”, while Pat Metheny said John is “one of the most significant figures in the modern history of the guitar”. And as the years passed, the cd’s reputation continued to grow. I’m not qualified to comment either way because it’s just not my type of music. However, for those who love this genre, you’ll know that back in the day, this album was something of a ground breaker, and represented music of the future. Now, in its newly repackaged sleeve, John’s music can be re-enjoyed.
