At last a sniff of summer, so this silky soul funk fiesta is hitting all the right buttons. Cracking new stuff that deserves your attention from this sterling platter featuring Gary Poole and the talented Mirjam.

A mixed bag of goodies with a solitary yet colussus of a jazz funk tune called 'Azure Sky' all tastes are catered for what does tend to bind this album together is the musicianship which is of the highest order if you like perky live drums and funky jazzy fat horns this puppy is for you!

Earth Wind & Fire (My desire) (that's the title by the way and not the band) has a beautifully summery feel and listening to this on such as a beautiful spring day just adds to the sumptuousness of it all.

'Love Me Proper' with it's jacko type beat, well funky bass and blistering alto sax has the most commercial appeal and grooves better than any michelin tyre, very anthemic, reminiscent of Sidney Youngblood back in the day! Nice!

Phil's been a busy boy and he's up to volume 4. It just goes to show BRITAIN HAS GOT REAL TALENT AND SOUL!!
