Where can one start with this? Ok, It’s a CD 4-tracker of 100% authentic Cuban Rumba made in London by London-based musicians. Frankly, this could’ve been made anywhere in the world including Cuba.
All four tracks are as powerful and fiery as you could hope for (and as Rumba should be). Flawless singing and playing with complete conviction, precision and passion make this an essential purchase if Rumba is your thing. If you don’t know about this music then the EP is a perfect introduction.
The only give away to this coming from the UK is the cover of Toots’ ‘Pressure Drop’. I’m not sure why they did it but it damn well works, and that idea could only have come from London.
