UK release date 22.03.2010

Sabrina ‘Mis Teeq’ Washington’s first solo single ‘OMG’ is a Britney styled slice of pop built around a rehash of ‘Rhythm is a Dancer’ by Snap (which in a world where last year was vintage, must be classed as a Neolithic dance tune)

The track, aimed precisely at the ladies (its about man trouble), is slick and catchy enough, occupying the same musical planet as her former bands work. As a side note, it does appear that she sings ‘oh my gash’ instead of ‘gosh’. But with its sneaky little middle eight and four additional retro sounding remixes (three of them minus the Snap riff if you really want to avoid it) there’s enough here to hint that we’ll be hearing a lot more like this from Sabrina in the near future.
