29th Chapter: Invincible

More rappers should have a sense of humour, without one you risk looking like an idiot. Judging by the video for ‘Invincible’ 29th Chapter appear to have such a tongue in cheek attitude to delivering their message.

That message being spreading the word of God to young people, although it’s toned down somewhat in this song, presumably so people don’t dismiss them immediately as bunch of Jesus rappers trying to sell them faith dressed up in cool urban clothing.

There’s enough room in the Hip-Hop world for everybody though and ‘Invincible’ is a catchy enough radio friendly effort where each of the four rappers get a chance to flow over the bouncing bassline. Just what kind of response the four guys would get by performing this in a weed smoky Hip-Hop club at 4am is yet to be discovered, although god himself might have to be on hand to look after them for that particular gig.
