Later...with Jools Holland celebrates 25th anniversary with star-studded RAH event
When it comes to live music shows that give fresh talent a much-needed platform, showcase current trends and pay homage to the true greats, the daddy of them all has to be the Beeb's flagship music entity, Later...with Jools Holland.
Having completed 50 series / over 360 episodes on BBC TWO, while usually being recorded at the BBC's Maidstone studios, this time Jools Holland takes his 25th-anniversary milestone reaching musical extravaganza to the opulent soundings of London's Royal Albert Hall, on Thursday, September 21st, 2017.
A grand venue needs a line-up to match and definitely not left wanting, a veritable smörgåsbord of tasty talent is set to appear, I'm pleased to say that this extravaganza will tick the boxes for music lovers everywhere. Stars ready to compliment this great occasion, include; Gregory Porter, Van Morrison, Foo Fighters, Paul Weller, Dizzee Rascal, Jorja Smith, Kali Uchis, Camille and Songhoy Blues, to name but few...
I dare say, there will probably be a few surprise guests on the night, as stars aplenty line-up to congratulate Jools Holland and his team reaching 25 impressive years at the pinnacle of music entertainment.
But, is Jools Holland looking forward to this magical night in Sept? Lol. Of course he is! "It's fantastic that we’re going to celebrate 25 years of making this show with a special one off event, where all of the workings of the Later experience will be transported into the Royal Albert Hall!".
If you would like to take in the delights of this 2017 highlight first hand, tickets go on sale at 9 am tomorrow - Friday, Sep 8th - our advice, get in early because we envisage this event selling out...and some!
Later 25 from the Albert Hall will broadcast on Saturday, September 23rd on BBC TWO.

This hour and a half must-see journey through the show's 25-year history includes Jools Holland sharing interesting facts and anecdotes about the many artists who have appeared on the Later...with Jools Holland show.
