Hook & Sling announce 2017 lineup

Taking place between July 21st-23rd and curated by music event maestros AGMP head honcho, Adrian Gibson, the first ever ’Hook & Sling’ (named after the Eddie Bo Funk 45) delivers 30 live acts and DJs from the Funk, Soul & Breaks scene, spread across two rooms at 229 The Venue in Great Portland Street.

You can feast your eyes/ears on some of the best up and coming artists as well as THE finest crop of the old school talent around; with most not having even played in Europe before now.

Syl Johnson and The Sugarman 3 headline alongside the godfathers of the deep funk scene, The Poets of Rhythm, who with Emil Carter from Mickey & The Soul bring us a Worldwide funk exclusive - and no doubt explosion! There are some exciting DJ sets on the bill too - with Snowboy, DJ Format, Adrian Gibson & Perry Louis taking us on a dancefloor journey into the wee hours.
