Southport Weekender festival - line up announced!

Southport Weekend Festival 2017
Southport Weekend Festival 2017

In what has been one of the most hotly anticipated line-up announcements since Jack built the house back in the 80s, The Southport Weekender festival finally told the World today what they have in store on June 10.

After their bitter sweet 50th anniversary celebration sadly ending-up being their last ever event, thousands of dance lovers were left in despair as the Southport Weekender closed it doors for the very last time - until now that is...

We are pleased to report that Southport Weekender is back! Be it in a slightly new guise, with a brand new event, but the good news is, it looks set to reestablishing itself as the UK's No.1 diverse dance Mecca once again! And we can't wait!

They have a new home too - with the first ever outdoor festival in London, at the legendary Finsbury Park. From 12pm-10.30pm you can dance, bop, hum, chew, whatever you like to music from; US House, techno, soul, disco, hip hop, UK garage and more: just as Southport before, this is about dance music of all genres in it's brilliance.

And of course, a lineup to match. The big players are all there...

Main stage; Kerri Chandler headlining alongside Roger Sanchez, David Morales, DJ Jazz Jeff, Joey Negro and Osunlade.

A second stage hosts a rather succulent old school and garage type affair with Jumping Jack Frost, Grant Nelson, CJ Macintosh, Paul Trouble Anderson plus Amp Fiddler live and new supper talent on the block, making plenty of waves in the process, Melon Bomb.

Mi-Soul radio hosts the third stage with head honcho Gordon Mac, Martin Lodge, Stretch Taylor Natasha Kitty Kat, Mike Vitti and many doubt playing quality tunes across the spectrum of house, soul, R&B and everything else in-between.

This is sure to be another stunning event from this dance music institution.
