Cheltenham artist line-up announcement
Cheltenham artist line-up announcement

With the Chick Corea Trio featuring Eddie Gomez and Brian Blade, plus Meshell Ndegeocello and Grammy award winners, Snarky Puppy, already announced. We are pleased to report that the latest round of artist inclusions for the UK’s most prestigious jazz festival, the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, has shown no signs of easing up in their mission to find / present THE best of not only the world of jazz but soul, fusion, blues and there’s even a helping of R&B, rock and psychedelia thrown in for good measure this year…

In fact, it’s probably easier to let you know what genres they don’t have performing, such is the diversity of what is on offer - for stalwart jazz fans it may be a bridge too far, but for fans of music, it’s nothing short of paradise! The only problem for anyone attending will surely be, which show/s to choose from the vast array on offer.

Latest performing who’s who includes; supreme jazz talent Dee Dee Bridgwater, blues legend Robert Cray, cult Australian experimental trio The Necks, US tenor Chris Potter, UK drummer Seb Rochford with an exclusive first performance from his brand new trio featuring Chicagoan bass flautist Nicole Mitchell, the immense The Hot 8 Brass Band, Norwegian whirlwind Marius Neset with a specially curated UK ensemble. US saxophonist Logan Richardson and B&S one to watch blues guitarist/singer Marcus King. Also, for the first time this year, the Daffodil venue will host a late-night residency led by cult London swing ensemble Kansas Smitty’s House Band with special guest appearances from the festival’s prestigious line-up.

Believe it or not, there are more artists to be included, when the full Cheltenham Jazz Festival line-up will be announced in full on February 10th. For details on tickets, artists and what’s on where, follow the buy now link below…
