“I Cry When I Laugh,” will be released on August 14th via Atlantic Records. The album documents Jess’s life since “the happiest and saddest day of my life,” – when she signed her record contract, but was also broken-hearted at the end of a two-year relationship. But Jess has taken a different approach to the standard break-up album: “I wanted this record to be about hope,” she reveals.

The four songs at the heart of the album are divined from one rewarding, traumatic, consuming affair. “Hold My Hand,” turned Jess from being the feature at the frontline of Britain’s appetite for pop-house bangers into a homespun future superstar. As a song, it is an anthem to positivity and personal communion, written with Jess’s most consistent collaborator and musical soul sister, Janeé "Jin Jin" Bennett. It is also the key to unlocking the other key tracks.

“Don’t Be So Hard,” is about painting a smile on while “Gave Me Something,” is about always thinking you’ll be a certain kind of girl and then turning into something else. “Take Me Home,” is about being able to revisit that sad moment. “Saddest Vanilla,” sees Jess singing alongside British pop star Emeli Sande, the only guest artist on the album. Other contributors on her debut album come from Knox Brown, Naughty Boy, Talay Riley, Starsmith, and Switch, as well as her regular collaborators Bless Beats and Jin Jin.

The core vibe to this album is the thought that , “out of sorrow happiness can happen.” As Jess says: “I needed to believe in it. I needed the record to tell a story. I needed it to feel like me. This album is about a girl who was a happy-go-lucky person, a bit of trouble, got her heart-broken and found her way through that; not by being sad, but by seeing hope and not letting it overtake her.”

Jess Glynne burst onto the scene in 2014 with two number one singles in the UK chart, as featured lead singer on the smash hits with Route 94, “My Love,” and Clean Bandit’s Grammy-winner “Rather Be,” a huge hit across Europe, Top Ten in the US and the most streamed song of last year. Her debut solo single the Gorgon-City produced “Right Here,” reached number six and her second single, “Hold My Hand,” stayed at number one for three weeks.

25-year-old Jessica Hannah "Jess" Glynne was born in Hampstead and raised in Muswell Hill, North London. She applied for the television talent show The X Factor when she was 15 years old, but was rejected. After a period spent travelling the world, Glynne worked for a music management company in her late teens and began networking with songwriters and producers. She completed a year-long music course at an east London college, where she met her future collaborators: songwriter Jin Jin and producer Bless Beats. One of Glynne and Jin Jin's compositions caught the attention of Black Butter Records, who signed Glynne to a publishing deal and introduced her to music managers and lawyers.

She signed a contract with Atlantic Records in August 2013, leaving her job at the time in brand management for a drinks company.

Jess has collaborated on songwriting projects with Iggy Azalea, Little Mix, M.O, Rita Ora, Rudimental, and Tinie Tempah. A second collaboration with Clean Bandit, "Real Love", was released in November 2014 and reached number two in the UK. Glynne is featured on "Not Letting Go", the current recent single from Tinie Tempah.

Prediction: This tour WILL sell out fast, and this young lady IS destined to become an Arena superstar VERY soon. Her debut album WILL be a red hot smash and top charts GLOBALLY, including in the USA. Go see her while you can get tickets without having to sell a kidney! Go Jess, go!
