Dawn Richard, is a multi-platinum American singer-songwriter who rose to success after auditioning for MTV's Making the Band 3.

During this time the songstress became the founding member of American girl band Danity Kane, and later went on to join with label head Sean "Diddy" Combs and Kalenna Harper to form the group Diddy-Dirty Money.

In 2011 following her departure from Bad Boy Records, she launched her solo career establishing herself as a distinguished independent artist.

Releasing four solo projects, Dawn has received universal acclaim from contemporary music critics, who hailed her as one of the best new acts in pop and R&B. Her album GoldenHeart, released last year, reached #1 on iTunes R&B/Soul in a matter of hours, reached iTunes Top 20 All Album and charted on five or more Billboard charts.

In August 2013 Richard announced that she would put her solo career on hold to reunite with Danity Kane, a reunion which produced a chart topping farewell album DK3.

2015 has marked a new era for the American singer as she launched her new album "BlackHeart" in January. The record is the second part of Dawn’s "Heart Trilogy" and comes exactly two years after "GoldenHeart."

Collaborating with the L.A. producer Noisecastle III, "BlackHeart" is a dose of electronica and alt-R&B that we are told, searches for a sound more uniquely "her." With influences from trip hop to electro pop to soul, this album aims to establish Dawn as "more than just a progressive R&B diva." Receiving critical acclaim from Fact Magazine, New York Times/LA Times, and Billboard, many have hailed this her best work yet.

Dawn Richard makes her highly anticipated debut live solo appearance in the UK with a special show at London’s Jazz Cafe on June 2nd 2015. Tickets @
