2013 Grammy Nominations

Jay Z has impressed some very influential peeps - with no less than nine nominations in the 56th Grammy awards. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar and Justin Timberlake each get seven nods, while Drake has five nominations.

Daft Punk and Kendrick Lamar are among the album of the year contenders. "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams,
"Locked Out Of Heaven" from Bruno Mars and "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, featuring T.I. & Pharrell Williams are all up for record of the year. Lamar is up for best new artist, against among others, Brit' Ed Sheeran. Calvin Harris gets a nod for his album "18 Months," in the Dance/Electronica category.

The nominees will find out if all their hard work and musical talent has been recognised by their peers, on 26th January when The Grammys takes place at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
