The guys at Southport towers have been busy bees this week. Not content with announcing the DJ line up for this May's 49th Southport Weekender, they have also just released the full line up for their sister soiree SuncéBeat in the beautiful surroundings of the Dalmatian coast in Croatia.

This is SuncéBeat 4 and having been to every one of them, I booked an apartment before the line-up was announced and I tell you something, I'm glad I did! This line-up, and I don't say this lightly, is in my eyes one of the best line-ups in the history of modern dance music. There is something for everyone in the place we now call our second home (Tisno) so just cast your mince pies over this little 'rabble' of DJ's:

Moodyman, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Gilles Peterson, Timmy Regisford, Joe Clausell, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Osunlade, Kerri Chandler, Kenny Dope, Karizma, Vakula, Nicholas, Franck Roger, Atjazz, Lay-Far, Jimpster, Mad Mats, Kev Beadle, Phlash, Gavin Kendrick, Ronnie Herel, Andy Ward, Souldynamic, Luis Radio, Sarah Favouritizm, Terry Jones, Martin Lodge, Lil Stevie, Mark Stone, Master D (Dekky) and Steve Butler.

For me personally I prefer the more abstract sound, and think Moodyman, Mark Farina and Derrick Carter...in the sunny climate of one of the most beautiful places in Europe...are absolutely top drawer bookings. The rest of the line-up is also insane, but they are the pick of the bunch for me personally.

Oh and lest I forget, there's also a live performance by some guy a few of you may have heard of. His name's Gregory something, but I can't think WHAT! His tracks run around the 19.60 length, 1960 WHAT?!

Unless you've been living in a cave for the last year or two, having totally cut your umbilical chord of human contact off, then you will know I am referring to a certain Mr Gregory Porter. For those of you who were at last year's Southport Weekender and missed Gregory's utterly mind-blowing and emotional set (shame on you, no excuses, I only had two hours sleep) then this is a chance to redeem yourselves. Gregory Porter in the amazing backdrop of Croatia is going to be simply mind-blowing.

There is also the fact that the boat party line-ups have yet to be announced. The Argonaughty is a huge part of this amazing week and if you've only ever stayed terra firma and not sailed yet, then again, shame on you!

SuncéBeat is more than a music festival to me, it's where some of my closest friends in the world will be, it's somewhere where I know the music, the vibe, the location, the people and the weather are all going to be absolutely top notch.

Roll on July!

Tickets for SuncéBeat are still available, just visit their website http://www.suncebeat.com/.
