Street Sounds UK Fresh Reunion
It was 1986 when Street Sounds first brought us THE finest new electro/hip-hop/R&B tunes known to man! (sorry or fly girl!!). This label not only set the bar in it's chosen genres, but raised it time and time again. Now 25 years later (hasn't time flown!?) on July 16 this iconic independent has announced, what has to be one of THE events of the year, a 25 year anniversary reunion at London's Scala.
25 years packed into one night, how they gonna do that you ask? Well, with the help of some true greats who made their mark via the Street Sounds medium. I'm talking about live perfrmances from the likes of legendary performers Nucleus, Captain Rock, The B Boys and Grand Mixer D.ST for starters... and with more hip-hop heros and electro all-stars set to be announced, any one of the aforementioned artists are worth the gate money to this event alone.
On the new-electro tip Darxid, LektroiD & Xidus Pain are set to make appearances, while the R&B field is represented in full with the creme of new and emerging talent that has been brought to you recently on the Street Sounds double R&B Street Anthems Vol.1 album.
So apart from the plethora of talent in attendence, what else should you look out for on this night? Well how about B-Boy battles, OR upstairs in the balcony bar - a selection of DJs playing various Street Sounds genres from classic ‘Anthems’, OR In the large foyer - a Street Sounds Memorabilia and Graffiti Exhibition, OR Street Sounds Wall Of Fame - all those who purchase a ticket will be sent an email with the option to write about their own personal memories of Street Sounds and share photos and memorabilia... Enough?
lol, yeah almost! There's just time to tell you the whole night will be filmed, so dress to impress, as you may want to show the grand kids how cool you were back in the day!
We suggest you don't take too long to purchase tickets for this one as tickets will be in short supply because of the size of venue and the scale of this event.
