Having wowed the audiences with her powerhouse performances as Killer Queen in the recent touring production of Queen and Ben Elton’s “We Will Rock you”, the former X Factor finalist Brenda Edwards is joining the West End production of the award winning show.

She will replace Mazz Murray who is taking a break to have a baby. Brenda makes her first appearance with the London production staged at the Dominion Theatre on Monday, 21 June. She joins the cast for a strictly limited ten week season before embarking on a lengthy British and international tour of the show, kicking off in Manchester in December 2010.

Show co-creator Brian May said – “Brenda is irrepressible, scary, funny, and a killer singer. The lot! … I have no doubt she will Rock the Dominion.” Having been the final woman in X Factor 2005, Brenda Edwards became much sought after by West End casters. She first performed in 'Chicago The Musical' followed by a role in “Carmen Jones”. Playing high profile concerts as headliner or special guest has ensured her growing popularity. Thus proving you don’t have to win X Factor to enjoy a successful career! 'We Will Rock You' is now in its 9th year and has played before over four million people. A review of the show with Brenda Edwards will be featured shortly.

It’s quite an achievement for a night to last five years in the volatile and competitive world of Central London clubbing. It’s even more impressive when it doesn’t sell out musically in order to achieve such a status.
