Whitney Houston to release 25TH Anniversary edition of debut album
On 26 January 2010 Arista Records will release the 25th Aniversary edition of 'Whitney Houston', the debut album that catapulted a virtually unknown artist into superstardom in 1985.
The 25th Anniversary Edition cd/dvd package includes the album – remastered in its entirety - along with five bonus tracks including Whitney’s a cappella recording of 'How Will I Know', and a live performance of 'Greatest Love Of All'. As an added bonus for fans, this release also includes a features-packed dvd. Three rare tv performances are included – 'I Am Changing' from the1982 Broadway production of 'Dreamgirls', performed live at the Arista Records’ 10th Anniversary celebration in1985; 'You Give Good Love' performed live at the first annual Soul Train Awards Show in 1987, and 'Home' from 'The Wiz' performed on the Merv Griffin Show in 1983.
Plus four music videos – 'You Give Good Love', 'Saving All My Love For You', 'How Will I Know' and 'Greatest Love Of All'. Exclusive and newly filmed interviews with Whitney and Clive Davis round off the bonus dvd. Whitney - “I cannot believe it has been twenty five years since my first album.
