Big Chill Bristol announces line up for opening weekend + exclusive art trail
Bristol can boast a brand new bar this month, but not just any bar - Ohh no... The all-new 'Big Chill Bar Bristol' - brought to you from the dream team behind the superb and highly acclaimed Big Chill festival. To signal the arrival of this monument of merriment, those red hot chillies have a truly scrumptious line-up...
Featuring a mix of local and international talent plus the launch of an art trail (don't look at me - I don't know what that is either), this is set to be a very special weekend indeed. First up to test drive the sound-system will be electronica legend, Daddy G; one half of the tour-de-force that is Massive Attack and main headline for the Saturday night session - he will be joined by Queen Bee, whilst together uniting themselves as Bristol Hi-Fi.
They will be accompanied by a series of soon to be regulars, including Western Soul - who will be bringing their huge brand of funk and reggae vibes to Bristol's Small Street. Other treats include the red-hot sounds of Future-boogie - who promise a funk filled, soul loving, beat rocking collective of DJ’s. This bunch of gifted individuals can regularly be caught setting London bars alight with their xtra special brand of top funked up tunes and mixed vibes. These boys can't wait to feather their Bristol nest to play regular future homecoming gigs.
