Amy Winehouse cancels Island date
After Jacko, we have our second cancelation of the week as Amy Winehouse's management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on May 31st. Refunds for tickets will be issued at point of purchase.
This news wasn't a total surprise as it was reported that Winehouse was in fact ill. Other reports suggest Winehouse wasn't ready for a live date as the recent near wash-out at the St Lucia Jazz Festival, where her performance was cut short, was said to be just as well as sources say she was far below par.
The show which was also to feature Toots & The Maytals and I Blame Coco has therefore been cancelled. You can now catch Toots & The Maytals at Islington Academy on the 1st night of the celebrations on Tuesday 26th May.
As Winehouse was due to perform just a selection of songs at the bush, we'll give her the benefit of the doubt this time round but we still want a note from your mother... B&S report card says, must try harder Miss Winehouse!
Get well soon Amy.
