HEADS HIGH LIVE: FRIDAY 3RD APRIL @ VIBE LIVE BUY NOW

Just to give you a quick low-down on what we feel is going to be a big night in London town - every friday at the Vibe bar in Bricklane. I quote "promises blur the boundaries between live performance and the art of DJ" worth checking out methinks.

Cosmic Afro-Jazz in a London style, the music of headline guests Eardrum speaks of harsh urban surroundings whilst dreaming of African suns and open skies. With a nine-piece line-up that includes Tony Allen collaborator Richard Olatunde Baker (Talking Drum), Jason Yarde (Saxphone/Percussion/Flute), ex-Lagos Shrine player Ayokunie Odia (Saxophone) and a host of dancefloor igniting percussionists.

Keeping the flow, residents and hosts the Heads High Soundsystem continue to blur the boundaries between live performance and the art of DJ (see I told ya!?) but this time with a distinctly tribalistic twist. Founded and directed by Duke Etienne, the combination of Jamaican songstress and Lee Perry collaborator Connie Bell, spoken word dynamo 4Real (Rebel Music), turntablist DJ Judge (Sensei FM) and musician/arranger Wayne Francis (United Vibrations) equates to a next-level journey into rhythm and rhyme.
