GROOVERIDER released from Prison after 9 months

Grooverider has been released from prison in Dubai by President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as part of Ramadan celebrations in the country.

As previously reported, the DJ and former Radio 1 presenter was arrested at Dubai International Airport in November last year for possession of 2.16 grams of cannabis and jailed for four years.

However, his release was granted earlier this week as one of the 700 pardons granted each year during the Muslim festival of Ramadan.
