RIHANNA MADE CULTURAL AMBASSADOR

Rihanna has been made an honorary cultural ambassador to her native island of Barbados.

A rally was held a few days ago to honour the singer and Prime Minister David Thompson announced the honorary appointment, as well as saying that his government were also planning to recognise the singer's achievements by awarding her a "piece of the rock" - a plot of real estate in the exclusive Apes Hill area of St James.
