WELCOME TO ROOTSVILLE

Rootsville is promising to be weird but utterly wonderful with the varied likes of Osibisa, Inspiral Carpets, Young Zulu Warriors, The Presets and Soweto Kinch all set to perform at the Custard Factory in Birmingham.

Performances on the huge stage jammed in-between a massive Victorian railway arch, are set to be enhanced by a 40k Martin Audio Liner Ray, complete with 12 square metre LED video wall and a stunning lighting rig.

Also set to play alongside the aforementioned artists are Kibichek, The Detroyers, Dholbusters and local Brum legend Steve Gibbons.

The festival is ABSOLUTELY FREE from midday to 6pm. Then it's £15 (if you are one of the first 500 ticket buyers) £20 thereafter.

To complete the picture there'll be all the festival trimmings:
stalls, films, dance exhibitions, poetry, kid's entertainment (until 6pm). From 6 - 9pm there will be a £1.50 drinks promotion.

It’s quite an achievement for a night to last five years in the volatile and competitive world of Central London clubbing. It’s even more impressive when it doesn’t sell out musically in order to achieve such a status.
