KSI: Kentish Town Forum, London 13/10/21
It's been a massive few months for YouTuber-turned-rapper KSI. This summer the 28-year-old, who first became known to millions of fans posting gaming videos, reached number 1 in the album charts with "All Over The Place". It follows on from last year's "Dissimulation", which established him as a serious player in the music game.
Proof of the artist's appeal came in the speed at which he sold out Kentish Town Forum, with a capacity crowd packed in well before his performance.
After a busy festival season, during which time I was lucky to catch his set at Parklife, KSI has honed his live act and brought plenty of energy to the stage.
Things got off to a lively start with "The Moment" and "No Time" during which the smile barely left the artist's face.
Ever attuned to the goings-on on social media, one early guest appearance came from a young violinist called Nassif Francis who had impressed on TikTok with a KSI remix.
"Patience" was delivered with passion, and Craig David made an unexpected appearance during "Really Love".
It's one of many energetic moments as KSI went all out to make the London show a highlight of the tour.
Given the huge KSI takeover we've seen in the past couple of years, this is an artist we can expect to hear a lot more from.
