Denzel Curry was still in high school when he released his first album. There's never been any doubt about his pedigree, and in "Zuu" he has released one of the top hip hop records to come out in 2019.

Aged just 24 he already has four acclaimed albums under his belt and a dedicated following. This was evident in the queues around The Roundhouse in Camden ahead of the show, which sold out long before Curry touched down in the UK.

There was no let-up in energy once he took to the stage, with frenetic versions of "Zuu" and "Ricky" getting the show underway. "Sirens" and "Clout Cobain" were sung back at him from the audience, who had clearly studied his material for a long time.

There was a lot of excitement when London's own A.J. Tracey, who had previously been at the bar at the back of the venue in a hoodie, seemingly unnoticed, appeared onstage. He and Curry tore through AJ's hit "Lo(v/s)er" as energy levels in the Roundhouse went through the roof. A cover of "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against The Machine brought the show to a resounding close.

If he continues at the current rate, Curry will have 10+ albums to his name by the time he's 30, and if they live up to "Zuu", fans have a lot to look forward to.
